personnel today conducted a flag march in Sirsa town which was limping back to normal after last week's clash between Dera Sacha Sauda followers and some Sikhs that left 12 injured
Deputy Commissioner J Ganesan said the flag march was conducted to instill a sense of confidence among the locals.
To maintain law and order, the Sirsa district had been divided into 15 sectors and three Duty Magistrates appointed to patrol with police, he said.
Anyone violating the law would be dealt with sternly, the Deputy Commissioner said.
Yesterday, the administration had lifted the curfew clamped on the town in the wake of last week's clash that left 12 people injured.
