Sisodia distributes flat allotment letters to jhuggi dwellers

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia today distributed allotment letters of newly- constructed flats to 'jhuggi' dwellers in his Patparganj constituency in East Delhi.

On the occassion, Sisodia said the Delhi government would not allow jhuggi dwellers to be rendered homeless, saying it is the promise of the AAP dispensation.

A senior government official said that 350 people, who are living in slums in Nehru Camp falling in Sisodia's constituency, will be given flats.

"Soon after we came to power, our government issued directions that dwellers of jhuggis which have come up before January 1, 2015, will be given flats," the Deputy Chief Minister said while addressing a gathering here.
 

He also said that this is the sixth camp where dwellers of slums are being given flats.
