Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and his cabinet colleague Gopal Rai today lauded the role of bureaucracy, which had been at loggerheads with the AAP government on some issues, in executing flagship projects including mohalla clinics.

Despite "hindrance" created by the Centre, officers successfully implemented the ambitious projects of the Delhi government, Rai said and congratulated the bureaucrats.

"Our role is set up a priority and get works done by officers... Most officers are doing good," Sisodia said at an event to mark the completion of two years of AAP government.

The tussle between the government and bureaucrats had begun with DANICS and IAS officers proceeding on a mass leave in December, 2015 to protest the suspension of two officials of the home department.

Recently, the IAS and DANICS officers associations had adopted a resolution to raise their voice against "injustices of any kind by the political executive of the Delhi government meted out to the officers of the state government in discharge of their duties".
