Kripashankar Singh's son Narendra Mohan Singh was grilled for several hours on Sunday at the police headquarters by the officials of the Special Investigation Team (SIT), a senior police official said.
Kripashankar had been questioned twice in connection with the case.
As Narendra Mohan had made more number of transactions as compared to his father, he was questioned in detail, the IPS official said adding that he was co-operative during the questioning.
However, when asked, the official did not reveal whether Narendra or his other family members would be summoned for questioning.
The Supreme Court had, in September, granted eight weeks time to the SIT to complete its probe into the alleged amassing of wealth by Kripashankar, disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The court had asked Mumbai Police Commissioner Satyapal Singh to head the team, replacing Arup Patnaik, who was elevated to the DGP rank.
The Maharashtra government has already submitted to the Supreme Court two reports on the SIT probe in sealed covers about the alleged benami assets of Kripashankar and his family. (More)
