Medium-pacer Duvvarapu Siva Kumar took a career-best haul of 11 wickets in the game, including four in the second innings, to guide Andhra to a comfortable innings-and-eight-run win over Tripura in a Group C Ranji Trophy cricket match, here today.

Siva Kumar, who picked up seven wickets in the first innings, returned with figures of four for 54 to help Andhra demolish Tripura in their second essay.

After bowling out Tripura for 151 in the first innings, Andhra scored 310 all out.

In the second innings also, Tripura's batting line crumbled to be bundled out for 151 yet again.

Resuming on 13 for three, Tripura needed 146 runs to make Andhra bat again but the visitors lasted only 58.1 overs and had it not been for No. 8 batsman Nirupam Sen Chowdhary, who top-scored with 42, they would have struggled to go past even 100 runs after being reduced to 47 for six at one stage.

None of the other batsmen could even reach 20-run mark.

Besides Siva Kumar, CV Stephen (3/51) and DP Vijaykumar (2/22) were the other wicket-takers.

Brief scores:

Tripura: 151 & 151 all out in 58.1 overs (Nirupam Sen Chowdhary 42, D Siva Kumar 4/52, CV Stephen 3/51, DP Vijaykumar 2/22).

Andhra: 310

Points: Andhra 7, Tripura 0.
