Director Sangeeth Sivan will explore the intricate relationship between a father and a son on a road trip in his upcoming film 'Cheers', which will star Dharmendra and Bobby Deol in lead roles.

Deols, under their home banner Vijeta Films, will produce 'Cheers', whose makers had been reportedly working on the idea for nearly two years.

"We have been working on this film for quite some time. 'Yamla Pagla Deewana 2' happened and hence things got a bit delayed. But the film is not shelved, we will start working on it soon and we are quite excited to make it. 'Cheers' explores relationship between a father-son duo on a road trip," Sivan told PTI.

'Yamla Pagla Deewana 2', an action comedy directed by Sivan and featuring Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby Deol, releases on June 7.

Shooting for 'Cheers' is likely to begin in September- October, but the makers are yet to zero in on the leading lady.

"We don't have any names in mind. We would have two heroines. Once 'Yamla Pagla Deewana 2' is released we will focus on 'Cheers'," Sivan said.
