Six persons have been arrested for betting on an IPL match at a hotel here, police said today.
Acting on a tip off that betting on the IPL match between Chennai Superkings and Kings XI Punjab was going to take place at a hotel in Sector 17 of the district, police conducted a raid and nabbed the six.
Thirty-four mobile phones along with electronic calculator was also recovered from their possession, police said.
The accused have been booked under various sections of the IPC, they said.
