Six persons were arrested for alleged involvement in the recent murder of a Right to Information (RTI) activist at Randha in Odisha's Ganjam district.
Police also seized two motorcycles, six cell phones, a sword, two axes and a bamboo stick from the accused persons who were arrested yesterday, said additional SP (Berhampur), Sashi Bhusan Satapathy.
The accused had allegedly killed Ganesh Panda (54), a trader and RTI activist, on December 29.

The accused were identified as Ajit Roul of Randha, Khallin Behera and Pradipta behera of Kanishi, Prasanta Sethi of Beherapur Sandeep Panda of Chhatrapur and Kalia Gouda of Bagahalati, police said.
Previous enmity between Panda and Ajit's father Prakash Roul, a contractor, was one of the major causes for the incident, they said.
Panda's brother, Rabindra, has alleged that Panda was killed for seeking information about road work through RTI.
