Six arrested, meth worth Rs 2 crore seized

Six persons were arrested and about 11 kg of methamphetamine worth over Rs 2 crore was seized from them in a joint operation by the Cyberabad police and Narcotics Control Bureau here today.

Accused Shiva Kumar and five others, including a businessman and a pharmacy chemist, allegedly supplied the drug to a Chennai-based dealer and it was smuggled to Malaysia and other countries, police said.

Kamma Srinivas and Murali Krishna, both classmates, allegedly started Balaji Labs at Jeedimetla here, and turned to manufacturing narcotics methamphetamine and ephedrine for easy money, they said.

They allegedly supplied the drugs to Shiva Kumar, who in turn sold them to Chennai-based Abdul Aziz Dawood Shaikh, police added.
 

A hawala agent Lucky was also arrested while delivering Rs 15 lakh hawala amount to Shiva Kumar.
