Six auto lifters arrested

Six persons have been arrested for allegedly stealing motorcycles from various localities of the national capital

Sonu, Pankaj, Sandeep, Neearj alias Nepali, Mohammed Rahis, Mohammed Sahanwaj alias Raja were arrested yesterday on specific input last night, a senior police official said today, adding four motorcycles were also recovered from their possession.

Police received information that four auto lifters Sonu, Pankaj, Sandeep and Neeraj alias Nepali - all residents of Karawal Nagar - would be coming near Gagan Cinema in Nand Nagari.

"Also, they got specific inputs that two auto lifters Mohammed Rahis and Mohd Sahanwaj alias Raja - both residents of Seelampur, would be coming at the bus stand of 212 Nand Nagari," said Ravindra Yadav, Addl Commissioner of Police.
 

Police then laid a trap and four auto lifters were arrested and two stolen motorcycles were recovered from their possession.

Similarly, another trap was also laid and two auto lifters were apprehended and two stolen motor cycle recovered from their possession.
