A district court today awarded life imprisonment to six persons in an 18-year-old murder case in Bihar's Katihar district.
Fast Track court judge H Nath Prasad found the six guilty and awarded them life sentence. Seven persons were acquitted in the case for lack of evidence.
Twelve persons were involved in the murder of Mohammed Arif in 1996 with sharp edged weapons at Sikariya Beriya village under Azamnagar police station of the district.
The court also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 each on the convicted persons.
