Rescuers have pulled out bodies of six coal mine workers, killed after a flood in a mine in central China's Hubei Province, while search is on to trace another miner who remained trapped.
The mine in Badong County was flooded on August 13 when the workers were working underground to clean the site, five days after a similar accident in which one person had died, officials said.
Local authorities have ordered all coal mines in the county to suspend work and carry out safety inspections.
Small coal mines in China usually have outdated safety- control measures and are vulnerable to flooding or gas explosions.
