Six children rescued from carpet factory

Six children working as bonded labourers were rescued from a carpet factory here by the police today.

The children, all below the age of 12 and hailing from Bihar's Ariya village, were rescued along with two persons during an operation in Maryadpatti area in the district, police said.

The children were found locked inside a room at the factory and were rescued during a raid, they said, adding that a case has been lodged against factory owner Islamuddin alias Babloo, who managed to escape from the spot.
