Six children rescued from Maoists

Six children were rescued from the clutches of the CPI(Maoist), who forcibly inducted them in their outfit, from the jungles of Jharkhand's Lohardaga district, police said today.

Acting on a tip off, a police team rescued five boys and a girl from the jungles near Kerar village yesterday, a police statement said here.

During interrogation the children told police that they had been forcibly inducted and exploited in the banned outfit.

As per government policy, all would be rehabilitated, it said.
