Six get lifer in murder case

Additional District and Sessions Judge Ajay Tewatia found Anita Gupta's husband and five other members of the family guilty of killing her for dowry on December 28, 2009 and awarded them the punishment.

The court also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on each of the convicts.

According to prosecution, the victim was forcibly immersed into a water tank by her husband Sumit, father-in-law Hari Gupta, mother-in-law Madhu Gupta, brother-in-law Amit Gupta, and sister-in-laws Sarita and Priyanka after she failed to meet their dowry demands.
