Six persons were today injured when members of two different communities clashed with each other during idol immersion in Bankata area here, a senior officer said.
The two sides indulged in brick-batting over playing of a DJ during the immersion, he said.
During the immersion in Kothilwan village this evening members of the opposite community raised objections over loud sound from speakers, Additional Superintendent of Police Ruchita Chaudhary said.

She said that in the meantime unidentified persons allegedly pelted stones which hit others.
The ASP said that this led to brick-batting between the two communities in which six persons sustained minor injuries.
She said a written complaint has been taken from both the sides and FIRs were being lodged.
Chaudhary said that though there was no tension in the area additional force has been called in as a preventive measure.
