A dispute over a plot of land led to a violent clash between two groups of villagers leaving six people injured here, police said.

According to Ramraj police station SHO Anand Mishra, the incident took place yesterday in Husainpur village. Mishra said a case was registered against six people and four were arrested.

The trouble started when a villager, Narender, and his supporters tried to evict people from a house on a disputed plot of land while Jasvir and others opposed. Soon heated arguments were exchanged and a violent clash ensued, police said.

The injured were shifted to a hospital.

Security has been tightened in the village and extra police personnel have been deployed.
