Five policemen and a civilian were injured in an explosion in Tanta in Gharbeya governorate in Egypt, officials said.

Two homemade bombs exploded last night injuring an officer, four conscripts and a civilian.

The explosion took place near the Police Club after a bomb was planted in a trash basket, a security official from the Ministry of Interior said.

After explosion, the security members of the club have detained a woman who was allegedly shooting the explosion on her mobile camera.

Attacks targeting police and military have increased after the ouster of Islamist ex-president Mohamed Morsi last year.
