Six persons were killed and 12 injured when their jeep rammed into a bridge near Seelaiyampatti in this district early this morning.
While three persons died on the spot, three succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital, police said.
They were part of a group of two families proceeding to Karumattur from Kambam when the mishap occurred.
The injured have been hospitalised.
