Six people were killed in an industrial accident in central China's Hubei Province, local authorities said today.
The accident took place yesterday at Hubei Zhongxinyinong Bio-energy Co Ltd in Honghu City when five staff members tried to rescue a colleague who had fallen into a dye pool.
Five staff members died at the spot while the sixth died on the way to hospital, the Honghu municipal government spokesperson was quoted as saying by the State-run Xinhua news agency.
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
