The mishap took place between Luhari and Mungarva villages when the Panna-bound bus collided head-on with the speeding dumper truck coming from the opposite direction, they said, adding the victims belonged to Nagpur in Maharashtra.
Out of six, three deceased have been identified as Shantibai, Nanhibai and bus conductor Shreepal while identities of three others, who died on way to hospital, are being established, police said.
The injured passengers have been admitted in a Jabalpur hospital, they said, adding the driver of the dumper truck has been arrested.
