At least six persons were killed and 28 others injured today when a speeding passenger bus overturned near a toll plaza in this Pakistani port city.

The accident took place near the Sassi toll plaza as the driver lost control of the vehicle, a police officer said.

Six bodies were recovered from the bus.

"The injured have been shifted to hospital," he said.

Road accidents are common in Pakistan because of little adherence to traffic rules and regulations by drivers.
