Six killed in road accidents

Six persons were killed in three road accidents in different places of Khagaria district today, the police said.

Three persons, including a woman, were killed, as a speeding truck rammed into a stationary autorickshaw on NH-31 under Mansi police station, Superintendent of Police Sunil Kumar Singh said.

The victims were identified as Bisho Devi (50), Nago Ram (48) and Vinay Kumar Ranjan (35) - all occupants of the autorickshaw.

In another incident, two persons, including a doctor Vivekanand (52), hailing from Bhagalpur, died after a truck rammed into a four-wheeler on NH-31 under Pasraha police station, the SP said.

In yet another mishap, a biker Laxmi Singh (42) was fatally knocked down by an unidentified vehicle on NH-107 under Beldaur police station area, he said.
 

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, the SP added.
