Six persons, including four children, were today killed in separate incidents in East and West Godavari districts of Andhra Pradesh, police said.
In the first incident, three members of a marriage party, including two children, were killed and eight others injured, after the car they were travelling in fell into a roadside canal in East Godavari district.
The incident occurred near Jonnadha village of Alamuru mandal when the 11 members of the marriage party including the newly-wed couple were on their way to Annavaram to visit a temple from Bhimavaram in West Godavari district.

In a separate incident, a man and his two children were killed and his wife critically injured when a speeding tractor hit them at Somavarappadu village in West Godavari district.
The incident occurred when the tractor driver lost control over the vehicle on a turn. "The family was standing by roadside when the tractor hit them, killing three of them on the spot," said Bimadolu Circle Inspector M Venkateswara Rao.
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister N Chinnarajappa has expressed condolences to the families of those killed in the mishaps.

Chief Minister Harish Rawat after returning from Delhi today went straight to Ranikhet to enquire about the injured undergoing treatment at Ranikhet Civil Hospital and PHC, Bhatronjkhal.
Expressing concern over rise in road accidents in the state,he asked the officials to plan ways to control them.
Rawat also announced a compensation of Rs one lakh to the next of kin of the deceased and make adequate arrangements for the treatment of the injured.
