Six Sri Lankan nationals have been arrested and their boat seized by the Indian Coast Guard off Andhra Pradesh coast for allegedly illegally entering and fishing in Indian waters.
The arrest that happened yesterday took the total number of Lankan fishemen taken into custody for illegally entering and fishing in Indian waters in the last 10 days to 56, an official release said today.
Coast Guard ship ICGS Rajdhwaj arrested the Lankan fishermen and seized the boat 'Dulaj Putha' (IMUL-A-0488-KLT), some 48 nautical miles off Nizampatnam coast yesterday for violating the Maritime Zones of India Act,1981, the release said.

The Coast Guard ship, which was on her maiden voyage from Kolkata to Chennai, is yet to be commissioned, it added.
The incident is the latest in the series of arrests of Lankan fishemen by Indian Coast Guard for illegally entering and fishing in Indian waters, it said.
