Six liquor smugglers and two narcotics smugglers were held from different areas in the district by the police who also seized 931 bottles of smuggled liquor and 250 grams of narcotics from their possession.
In the first incident, police arrested one Dharam Singh and seized 70 bottles of smuggled liquor from his possession last night.
Similarly, Deepak, Rajkumar, Rajinder, Arjun Das, and Radhey Sham were arrested in five separate incidents while seizing 288, 45, 96, 144, and 288 bottles of smuggled liquor from them respectively, police said.
Police has also arrested two narcotics smugglers, Bikhari and Bijendra, and seized 250 gram charas from them.
