: A six-member gang has been arrested for allegedly stealing heavy vehicles and cars, police said today.
A special team was constituted based on the directions of City Police Commissioner T K Rajendiran, which arrested Munusamy, Suresh, Nirmal Kumar, Premkumar, Karthik and Sudalai following investigation, police said.
They had allegedly stolen trucks and four-wheelers in and around Chennai and Tindivanam, police said, adding four heavy vehicles, one car and two motorcycles were recovered from them.
The accused were remanded to judicial custody, police said.
