Six militants including five ultras of the NDFB (Songbijit faction) were today arrested from three districts of Assam, a police spokesman said here.
Four NDFB(S) extremists were caught red handed at Hatibandha Gaon under Kokrajhar police station when they were going to a rubber estate for demanding extortion money.
A BSF deserter and now an NDFB(S) militant was nabbed by a joint team of police and CRPF at Panbari Bazar in Chirang district today, the spokesman said.

In Karbi Anglong district, Karbi National Liberation Army (KNLA) ultra Bir Singh Rongphar alias B Singh was arrested at Uttar Borbill, the spokesman said.
Meanwhile, one person identified as Sreeprakash Gupta (34) was kidnapped by unknown persons yesterday at Natun Bazar under Hojai police station in Nagao district.
An operation was launched to rescue Gupta, the spokesman said.
