Six NSCN(IM) cadres were arrested and two abducted persons rescued from an illegal detention centre of the outfit at Setikima in Dimapur district of Nagaland, an Assam Rifles release said today.
On receiving information about the detention centre being run by NSCN(IM), Assan Rifles jawans raided the area and rescued two abducted persons on July 30, the release said.
While one was abducted on May 2, the other one was kidnapped on June 18. A huge sum of money had been demanded from their families for their release, it said.
The six NSCN (IM) cadres, who were allegedly running the centre, were also held.
