The mishap took place on Rewalsar-Nainadevi road in the Mandi district when the family was returning after paying obeisance at Naina Devi temple near here, police said.
The driver of the vehicle lost control over the wheels while negotiating a turn and the vehicle plunged into a gorge, killing six and injuring a woman.
The injured woman has been admitted to zonal hospital at Mandi.
