Six of a family killed in house collapse due to heavy rain

Six members of a family, including four children, were killed when their house collapsed following heavy rains at a village here in the wee hours today.

The mishap occurred in Dhebarbadi village when the victims were sleeping in their house which collapsed suddenly following a long spell of rains in the district, Jhabua Superintendent of Police Sanjay Tiwari said.

The deceased have been identified as - Mukesh Bhabor (32), his wife Rukm Bai (30), daughters Bodi (8), Buchi (4) and Sarangi (02) and son Vijay (06), Tiwari said.

The bodies were sent for autopsy to district hospital.

District Collector Ashish Saxena, after visiting the mishap spot, told PTI that efforts were on the bring Mukesh's mother from Gujarat.
 

The kin of the deceased would be provided compensation as per the rules, he added.
