In a second incident of food poisoning within a week in the district, six members of a family here fell ill after allegedly consuming cold drinks in Dhaderu village, police said today.

The affected family members -- parents and their four children -- complained of headache, vomiting and stomach problems after they consumed cold drinks yesterday, police said.

They were identified as Shamshad (35), his wife Subhani (32), their two daughters - Razia (16) and Afsana (14) - and two sons - Shadab (12) and Suhail (l0).

They were shifted to district hospital, police said.

The family members said that the cold drink was purchased from a local shop in the village.

Police said they have collected the cold drinks sample from the victim's home and the investigation is underway.

This is the second such incidents in the district within a week after seven persons, including four children, of a family in Ratheri village had fallen ill allegedly after consuming cold drinks on July 20.
