Six persons, including two women, hailing from Muzaffarnagar in UP have been arrested after 11 pistols were seized from them on their return from Pakistan by Samjhauta Express.
During customs checking at the Attari Railway Station yesterday, 11 pistols were found concealed in 11 meat cutter machines along with 22 magazines, Gurdev Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Customs said.
"A doubt arose after the machines were subjected to X-ray. They were cut by cutters and pistols were found. There were a total of 11 machines and 11 pistols were recovered," he said.
