Six persons sentenced to life imprisonment in murder case

The Additional District Judge - V Dhruv Narayan Singh passed the order sentencing - Bijrendra Yadav, Ram Badan, Guddu, Indra Dev, Subhash Yadav and Sadhu Yadav - to life imprisonment and imposed Rs 10,000 fine on each after finding them guilty in the murder case of Mahendra Singh.

The convicted persons will have to undergo an additional three years' imprisonment if they failed to pay the fine amount, the judge ruled.

According to prosecution, Singh was shot dead by the six persons near Sarmera Bazar under Sarmera police station area on July 4, 2004, following a land dispute between them.

 

The victim's brother Rajendra Singh had lodged a named FIR against six persons charging them with the murder of his elder brother.
