Six shops were gutted in a major fire at the famous hill resort Gulmarg in Baramulla district of north Kashmir, police said today.
Fire erupted at main market Gulmarg, 55 kms from here, last night causing damage to six shops, a police spokesman said.
He said police is investigating the cause of the fire.
In another incident, fire broke out at a shopping complex on the outskirts of Srinagar last night.
"Fire broke out in the SDA (Srinagar Development Authority) Shopping Complex at Bus stand Panthachowk, resulting in partial damage to the complex," the spokesman said.
The cause of the fire was not known immediately, he said, adding, no one was injured in the two cases.
