Six Singapore satellites are slated to be launched by ISRO's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) on December 16 from the spaceport of Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.

The launch is expected at 6 PM but it will be finalised at the Mission Readiness Review (MRR) meeting on Sunday, a senior Indian Space Research Organisation official told PTI.

He said the process of integrating the satellites into the launcher is being carried out.

Officials said the Singapore spacecraft are "basically" earth observatory satellites with total mass weighing above 600 kgs.

"One TeLEOS weighing about 400 kgs, two satellites are 125 and 78 kgs respectively and rest are all in 12kgs range; they are for commercial purpose," the official added.

This will be the last launch for ISRO this year, which had braced itself for one satellite launch every month.

ISRO had last launched its latest communication satellite GSAT-15 successfully on board Arianespace rocket from the spaceport of Kourou in French Guiana on November 11.
