The parents of the class one student of Panchmile Jatiya Vidyalaya, Asit Sarkar, have alleged that the boy has been kidnapped by six employees of a biscuit factory last night.
Police have launched a search operation to rescue the child, but was yet to ascertain the reason behind the kidnapping.
Angry residents blocked the road at Panchmile area demanding immediate release of the boy.
The kidnappers have not sent any ransom note to the parents, police said.
