SJVN Q3 net profit declines 21% to Rs 212 cr

State-run SJVN Ltd today reported 21.6 per cent decline in standalone net profit at Rs 211.60 crore for the December quarter on account of lower sales.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 270.06 crore in the year-ago period, it said in a BSE filing.

Net sales declined to Rs 482.02 crore as against Rs 546.79 crore in the year-ago period.

In a separate filing, the company said that its board has declared interim dividend of Rs 0.63 per equity share (face value of Rs 10 each) for 2015-16.

In another filing, the company said that it has fixed February 17, 2016, as the record date for the purpose of payment of interim dividend.
 

"The dividend shall be paid/dispatched on February 24, 2016," it said.

SJVN Ltd is a joint venture between the Centre and the government of Himachal Pradesh.
