SJVN Q4 net profit rises 24% to Rs 185 crore

State-run power producer SJVN today reported a 23.7 per cent jump in its standalone net profit at Rs 185.08 crore for the March quarter, driven by higher revenue from operations.

The company's standalone net profit in the year-ago period was Rs 144.83 crore, SJVN said in a regulatory filing.

The standalone revenue from operations during the quarter increased to Rs 386.28 crore, as against Rs 312.04 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY14, it said.

For the entire fiscal, the company's standalone net profit increased to Rs 1,676.75 crore, over Rs 1,114.63 crore in 2013-14.

The revenue from operations for the year ended March 31, 2015 increased to Rs 2,817.53 crore, over Rs 1,873.58 crore in the previous year.
 

The normative plant availability factor (NAPF) has been increased from 82 per cent to 90 per cent in respect of Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station vide tariff notification applicable for the period 2014-19, it said.

The shares of the company closed at Rs 24.15 a piece on BSE, down 1.43 per cent from the previous close.
