Police have prepared the sketches of the attacker who had shot at BJP MLA Jeetendra Singh Shunty outside his residence in east Delhi's Vivek Vihar area in which he had a narrow escape.
According to a senior police official, on the basis of the statements and description provided by Shunty and some of his neighbours, sketches of the attacker and his associates who had waited for him in a white car have been got made by the police.
Investigators are trying to trace the accused with the help of these sketches.

"We are investigating the case from all possible angles. An extortion bid or an old enmity could also be behind the attack. We have not ruled out any possibility," he said.
Police have also examined the CCTV footage of the surrounding areas and it has emerged that the white colour Volkswagen Polo had been making regular rounds and the assailants had carried out a detailed reccee before going ahead with the attack.
However, the registration number of the car could not be identified in the footage which could have helped police in tracing the attackers. However, the attackers might have used a stolen vehicle or used a fake number plate, the official said.
One of Shunty's neighbour had told police that the car had Haryana registration number.
Meanwhile, Delhi Police have provided two PSOs to Shunty who will remain with him 24X7. Delhi Police Commissioner B S Bassi has also spoken to Shunty over phone and assured him of speedy probe in the case and fool-proof security to him.
Several teams of East Delhi Police other than Special Cell and Crime Branch are also looking into the case.
A gunman, who was wearing a helmet, had fired three to four rounds at 51-year-old Shunty but he escaped unhurt in the attack that took place yesterday. The dramatic incident was recorded by a CCTV camera installed outside the MLA's residence.
