Skill Development Ministry forms working group on ITIs

A working group has been set up under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship to submit a report on establishing a transparent policy and capacity building of industrial training institutes (ITIs).

The Working Group, chaired by Secretary, Ministry of Skill

Development and Entrepreneurship, will include Principal Secretaries of 4-5 states and MD & CEO of National Skill Development Corporation.

"The group is expected to submit its report within one month positively," Skill Development Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy said.

'Indian engineering companies keen to rebuild quake-hit Nepal' * Indian engineering companies are keen to help rebuild the infrastructure of earthquake-hit Nepal, industry body Engineering Export Promotion Council of India(EEPC) has said.
 

"Even as life is picking up again in Nepal, it would take some months before the trade infrastructure is restored. We in the engineering industry would be ever willing to spear-head the rebuilding effort," EEPC India Chairman Anupam Shah said in a statement.

Nepal has been a key destination for Indian engineering equipment with its exports to the country increasing by 36.73 per cent in FY15 to USD 1.44 billion from USD 1.05 billion in the previous fiscal.
