Skill development programme launched in west Delhi

A skill development programme in hospitality sector was launched for youth in West district of Delhi today.

The programme was launched in collaboration with Gas Authority of India Limited and School of Skill Development in Hospitality (SSDH).

"There are 100 youths in the age group of 15-25 years selected from the area of various Police Stations of west District. They will be provided training in skill development in hospitality in collaboration with Gas Authority of India Limited & SSDH," said Ranvir Singh, Additional Commissioner of Police (West).

The main focus of the programme would be to train the youth in various skills required for hotel industries, service industries, and development personality skills.
 

A 15-day course would be organised at PS Mayapuri and another 15 days of training will be done at SSDH, Gurgaon.

"The vision of the programme is to provide livelihood opportunity to marginalised youth," said Singh.
