City-based transmission and distribution infrastructure company Skipper today said it has secured new orders worth Rs 400 crore from Colombia.

"The contract is for 500 KV transmission line towers. The new orders are a result of our continued focus on growing our export revenues and are part of our long-term alliance agreements with Latin American transmission system operators," Skipper director Sharan Bansal said in a statement.

"In its quest to expand global footprint through securing major international contracts in the T&D space, these new orders from the Latin American market are a significant step in that direction," he said.

Skipper now has an order book of Rs 24 billion (Rs 2,400 crore) at end of Q4 FY15 in its transmission and distribution business, assuring a 24-month revenue, the company added.
