Skipper enters new African markets

Power equipment and pipe maker Skipper Limited today marked its global penetration in a bigger way by bagging new orders in African countries.

The company said the new orders were from Kenya, Cameroon, Congo, Ghana, Malaysia as well as in the domestic markets.

These orders are for supply of Transmission & amp; Sub-station Towers, Distribution Poles and Steel Angles and are valued at around Rs 100 crore, Skipper Director Sharan Bansal said.

"We are excited for our entry into major African markets like Kenya, Cameroon, Congo, Ghana and Asian markets in countries like Malaysia as a result of our international business push. We have also lately received Powergrid approval for our Distribution Poles which will help us tap the large potential for Poles in the north eastern region of the country due to the upcoming Power Grid DMS projects," Bansal said.
 

Its international footprint spans across continents such as Latin America, Europe, Africa and is spread across 20 countries with presence across sub-segments such as towers, EPC, monopoles and poles.
