Skipper Ltd Q2 net declines 14% to Rs 30 cr

Skipper Ltd, which manufactures Power transmission and telecom towers, today reported a 14 per cent fall in net profit to Rs 30.29 crore for the quarter ended September 30.

The Kolkata-based firm had clocked a net profit of Rs 35.29 crore in the year ago period, it said in a BSE filing.

Total income, however, rose by 20 per cent to Rs 368.04 crore in the July-September this fiscal from Rs 306.89 crore in the same quarter of 2014-15.

Its total expenses were also up by 14 per cent to Rs 312.82 crore from Rs 240.27 crore during the period under review.
 

In a statement, the firm said its current order book as on March is around Rs 2,400 crore. International orders make up about 45 per cent out of this and the rest are domestic.

For 2015-16, Skipper has over Rs 1,150 crore worth of export orders and is targeting to enter newer geographies, it added.
