Leading power transmission and distribution and water infrastructure company Skipper Ltd announced a net profit of Rs 22.5 crore for the Q3 period ended December 2016, up by 19.5 per cent over the corresponding quarter profit of Rs 18.7 crore.

The company in a statement said sales were up by 19 per cent at Rs 430.15 crore for the quarter under review against Rs 361.57 crore registered in the December quarter of FY16'.

"Currently, we have a strong order book, which gives us a revenue visibility of 2 years. Going forward, business landscape appears promising. This optimism is pivoted on government's undiluted focus on rural electrification and boost to total infrastructure by enhanced allocation of capex for roads, railways and other infrastructure such as irrigation in the current Budget announcement of 2017 -18 fiscal," Skipper director Sharan Bansal said.
