Responding to the concern raised by Suresh Kumar Khanna (BJP) during Question Hour, Agriculture Minister Anand Kumar Singh cited various factors including season, demand and availability of the food item in the market that led to an increase in the price.
At the same time he informed the House that the government has offered a number of incentives to farmers to increase the production of vegetables.
