A day after being shot dead by dacoits in Keonjhar district, mortal remains of slain police official Dilip Sahu were consigned to flame at his native village Dumal in Kalahandi district today as police accorded a guard of honour.
As guns boomed and cops reversed their firearms, Minister Badri Narayan Patra along with senior police officers paid their respect to Sahu whose brother later lit the funeral pyre at his native Dumal village in Kalahandi district.
The slain Inspector In-Charge (IIC) of Ghatagaon police station in Keonjhar district is survived by wife and four-year-old son.
