The slain police officer's father, Keshav Dev, filed four affidavits to this effect in the Special CBI Court of Judicial Magistrate Dr Subhra Singh, senior public prosecutor Hemant Shukla told reporters here today.

The judicial magistrate forwarded these affidavits to the CBI seeking its reply posting a date of July 13, Shukla said, adding that the affidavits were taken by Delhi CBI officers.

The court also summoned the then station in-charge of Bamore in Morena district, where the alleged murder took place on March 8, to appear for the next hearing of the case on July 13, when it will also decide if the case ought to be shifted to Morena as urged by the defence counsel of the accused, Manoj Gurjar, Shukla said.

In his affidavit, the slain police officer's father requested the court to direct the CBI to re-investigate the case, as the mining mafia's links were not explored and statements of family members of the deceased were also not taken, Gurjar's defence lawyer Mahendra Morya said.

Earlier on June 25, the Fourth Additional District and Sessions Judge Special CBI Justice Anupam Shrivastav, had rejected the accused Gurjar's bail plea that the crime of killing an IPS officer was very serious, and hence bail could not be granted.

The CBI had filed a chargesheet against Gurjar under Section 304 of the Indian Penal Code (culpable homicide), Section 353 (obstructing government work) of IPC and Motor Vehicles Act, on June 6. Gurjar had allegedly mowed down 32-year-old Singh, when he tried to intercept a tractor- trolley laden with illegally mined stones.
