On New Year's Day, there was some respite for the people in Delhi from the cold wave conditions with the minimum temperature being recorded at 7 degrees Celsius against 3.8 degrees Celsius the previous night.
The humidity level was recorded at 100 per cent.
A meteorological department official on Tuesday predicted a bright day ahead with the maximum temperature expected to be hovering around 22 degrees Celsius.
However cold wave conditions would prevail at isolated locations of the national capital, the official said.
On Monday, the minimum and maximum temperatures were recorded at 3.8 degrees Celsius and 22.2 degrees Celsius respectively.
